Dubrovnik Riviera and Cavtat Tour

Travel back in time to a town that predates even Dubrovnik on this historic sightseeing tour. After visiting one of the shortest rivers in the world – the beautiful spring of river Ombla and short break on Franjo Tuđman bridge, we are climbing to Mount Srđ for several photo stops and a museum visit. Leaving Mt. Srđ, you will drive along the southern coastline to the small town of Cavtat. According to historians, the Roman tribe who settled Cavtat, which was then called Epidaurum, later founded Dubrovnik, after fleeing from Slavic neighbors and their hometown in the early 7th century A.D. You will visit the remains of this ancient civilization and have some free time to explore the seaside promenades and peaceful streets of Cavtat. Your will tell you the story of our region, from its humble beginnings through many political and cultural milestones up to the Yugoslav War of the 1990s. After returning to Dubrovnik, enjoy one of additional extra charged services: self-guided audio tour of Old Town – its monasteries and museums and massive city walls,1h 15min shared walking tour accompanied by our licensed guide or an hour and a half private walking tour through Old town by our licensed guide. Your driver will gladly return you to the hotel/cruise ship when you are ready to call it a day.

Tripadvisor Robbo61: „Great tour given by Branko with amazing views over Dubrovnik and nice drive through the countryside and to Cavtat. Some minor confusion as to whether we had booked the walking tour through the old town (which we had) but this was resolved by the time we had driven back, where Ivona was waiting to give us a lovely commentary of the old town. Overall a very good tour at a much more reasonable price than similar tours offered by other companies. People on our cruise ship did very similar tours with other companies and paid over double the price. Highly recommend Ivo and his team. “ Read more

Tours By Locals Mary - Lou G: „On the very busy national holiday our cruise ship called at Dubrovnik, Ivo managed to avoid most of the heavy traffic & crowds to provide 6 of us (3 couples) an outstanding tour of a great number of different important, interesting sites—both in the city & countryside, where he curated many fabulous photo ops. He was a most gracious, charming, & FUN driver/guide, with passionate, thorough, insightful historical, political, & cultural information. We never felt rushed, even though we saw & learned so much!“ Read more

Tripadvisor RoamerBritinUK: „This does just what it says on the can. An iPod guide to the walk round the city walls and a second one of the city's landmarks all in one easy to use guide. Particularly good if you want to stop off on the way for a drink, ice cream or potty-stop! The commentary is in clearly spoken good English and is informative without being too fact-packed and boring. Possibly not so useful for children unless they are real history freaks, but great for adults. I recommend it highly. Good value, too, as you keep it for as long as you need. Available from one of the stands in the square on Pile Gate. Easy to use.“ Read more
